The Secret Pizza Society landed in Greenland!
At Café Iluliaq, in the village of Ilulissat surrounded by stunning icebergs, we had the chance to host a special pizza workshop.
We trained the local staff and other participants to make beautiful round pizzas in a Neapolitan-inspired style, as well as pizza in the tray. We made a lot of experiments with all the different flours available locally until we found what we were looking for!
But this was about much more than pizza.
It was a wonderful opportunity to meet a lot of pizza lovers from the Inuit community and beyond — And if there was ever a moment that proved pizza brings people together, this was it.
It became a real exchange of culture and friendship: I brought my knowledge of the pizza world, and they welcomed me by sharing Greenlandic traditions, both culinary and beyond.
Experiences like this remind me that food is not just about nourishment — it is about creating connection, friendship, and bridges between distant worlds.
